Nothing Is Real

The title for this photographic body of work, "Nothing Is Real", is taken from The Beatles hit Strawberry Fields Forever.  The song, along with the double A side Penny Lane, is a nostalgic look back at The Beatles' past in Liverpool. Strawberry Field was the name of a Salvation Army children's home near John Lennon's childhood home, where there would be a garden party each summer.

My work documents what takes place at tribute band concerts, without controlling or directing the band. Throughout portraits, behind the scenes imagery and photographs of the band performing live, my work aims to play with the mind of the viewer, sparking nostalgic thoughts and questioning what is, and what could be real.
